Just a quick update....

I've been really busy lately so not had time to blog, but thought I'd make time to sit down and give you all a quick catchup on what I've been up to.

I've had a lot of client shoots recently including a beautiful singer called Jasmine, and model portfolio updates for new and existing models. I've also done a few agency shoots with models from BMA, IMG models and Gingersnap. Updates from those will be as and when the photos are ready/can be released.

I also made the trip with Madame Bink from Wiltshire up to Birmingham for the Focus on Imaging event at the NEC. I was looking to invest in some new camera equipment for some new business ventures and I'd heard it was a chance to grab a good bargain. I ended up buying a new body, some lenses and flashguns and other bits and pieces. Was nice to see Vicki Blatchley working on the Orbis stand and to meet Mr Damien Lovegrove.

Had a nice catchup with a good friend of mine Faye recently, we used to work together a lot many years ago, and we decided to do a quick shoot to see how we work together a few years along in our careers. Here's a couple of photos from the shoot:

I also managed to sneak a quick shoot in with my puppy Major in our kitchen the other morning. He's such a character and shooting something with so much energy movement is definitely a good challenge.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend, and making the most of the sunshine.

Hair Hair Hair with Madame Bink and Jay Jessop

So Binky and I finally managed to do our first Team Binkertson shoot of 2011 and who better to join the team than the beautiful and talented Jay Jessop. Jay had wanted to get her hands on Binky's hair ever since they first met and had so many ideas for it; although she managed to narrow it down for the shoot.

So often with shoots Binky's hair is always left down, or pinned up due to the sheer volume of it. Jay wanted to go one step further and make use of all the wonderful hair and she didn't let us down. I think it took around 4-5 hours of work on Bink's hair and around 30mins of actually shooting the looks, but it was totally worth the wait. Looking forward to the future Binkertson shoots this year and how we can keep the great vibe and never ending progression going.

Inspiration of the Month: "Candice Swanepoel" for VMan F/W 2010 by Mario Testino

Candice Swanepoel for VMan F/W 2010 by Mario Testino

Candice Swanepoel really brings some sex appeal to this rather raunchy editorial for V Man... I totally need to shoot an editorial like this, it rocks, it's like YMCA meets Jedward meets the beachboys!
