New Publication: Professional Photographer Magazine - July 2011

Just noticed that a recent photo of mine was published in the Portfolio section of Professional Photography magazine July 2011 issue.

The photo is a result of a Team Binkertson photoshoot, featuring Madame Bink and the Hair/Make-up talents of Jay Jessop. (A good 4 1/2 hours of hair styling went into this look, and around 6 minutes to shoot it)

The Wedding of Sarah and Simon

The wedding of Sarah and Simon was a very very short notice booking, and was taken through the referral of a make-up artist Lyndsey Harrison. From the initial contact we'd had with the bride and groom it had the promise of being a very relaxed, fun and special day; and we were not disappointed.

This was the first wedding booking that The Creative Wedding Duo *(see more after the photos) had taken, so it was the kick-start of our new business, sending us on a new journey, just like that about to be taken by the bride and groom.

The wedding was located at Cliveden House in Berkshire and all we knew was that it was a fun couple, having a very small intimate wedding with 6 guests. Upon arrival at the rather HUGE and stunning location, Binky and I thought we were in for an exciting day. We were helped out of our car which was valet parked, whilst we were assisted into the house by an entourage of staff, who informed the bride and groom we were there before showing us to the rooms.

I won't go into too much detail about the day, but their small group of friends were so so lovely, and helped them have the most fun and enjoyable day. From mankini's, to all of the guests objecting to the wedding, and numerous 'in jokes' the banter kept the bride and groom laughing long into the evening.

It was great to finally get to work alongside Binky too and get the creative wedding duo under way, I'm so happy that our two differing eyes manage to capture images that fittingly come together to the story of the day.

*The creative wedding duo - We are Adam & Binky, a male/female photography duo with years of photography experience, from film to digital.

For us a wedding is all about capturing the moments, emotions and details of the day. We want to capture those in an candid/unobtrusive/reportage manner. Finding the little details, and intimate moments, that come together in a beautiful story to help keep lasting memories forever.

Working as a duo, we're able to blend into your special day and capture things from differing angles, meaning you get to see your day through a variety of perspectives.

New Online Publication: "Stripped Bare" feat Katy Cee in WoofMagazine #13

Katy Cee was my first shoot of 2011, all the way back on January 3rd, and our shoots are just coming out in publications now. This shoot was a bit of a mess around the night before our editorial the following day, there's no styling, no make-up (the badgers or squirrels or something stole her make-up bag), there's not any editing, just straight out of camera candid voyeurism.

You can all check it out at woofmagazine.net or check it below.

Inspiration of the month: “Forever Young” - Arizona Muse by Mario Sorrenti

Inspiration of the month: “Forever Young” - Arizona Muse by Mario Sorrenti in Vogue Paris Feb 2011.

Going back a few months, I find myself drawn to this editorial shoot of Arizona Muse by Mario Sorrenti. She's barely covered, except for the gorgeous styling of handbags, belts and jewellery. It's simple, and I like that.

New Publication: Tatler July 2011 Issue - "Cool Britannia"

Over the Royal wedding weekend, I was sent down to Aynhoe Park by Devotion PR, to cover two events, the first being a Royal Garden Party to celebrate and watch the wedding; the second being a patriotic royal rave up on the following evening. I had my trusty assistant Andy Doane on hand, as covering this event was the kickstart of finally launching 2DamnCreative.

The garden party was great and it was exciting watching the royal wedding and capturing all the fun and games going on around the grounds of Aynhoe park during the ceremony. There really was a truly eclectic mix of people and emotions floating around the gardens. You can see my photos from the day here.

The following night I was working for Conde Nast/Tatler Magazine covering the royal rave, which was a rather splendid affair with an endless guest-list of gorgeous revellers; which included Matthew Williamson and Georgina Goodman.

A big thanks to Andy Doane, Romaine Flint Wood and James Perkins for making it a great weekend of events.

Here's the tearsheet:
